Since its inception, the Southern Highlands Charitable Foundation has helped many individuals, children, and families in need.

Through a variety of events including the annual Governor’s Black-Tie Invitational Golf Tournament, supported by Governor Jim Gibbons and First Lady Dawn Gibbons; the annual Southern Highlands Fall Festival and 5K run; and numerous Southern Highlands Golf Club member events, more than $5 million has been raised and distributed to numerous charities and their beneficiaries.

In 2007, monies raised enabled 50 critically ill children to be provided with assistance and care; allowed 20 very sick children to have their wishes come true; will provide 1,000 children in need with a new backpack and school supplies; will continue to give homeless mothers and children a safe place to stay and reshape their lives; will allow 100 developmentally challenged individuals to attend social, recreational, and arts programs; and will soon provide children with a new facility to enrich their lives.
