A resident of Las Vegas for most of her life, Kitty Rodman has made an indelible mark on local business, philanthropy, and education. Having served in various roles for Sierra Construction Corporation for
50 years, Rodman worked on projects for UNLV, Nellis Air Force Base, the Atomic Energy Commission, and numerous hotels, casinos, schools, and banks. She coupled her success as a businesswoman with a profound generosity, giving back to the community and mentoring other women entering the business world.

Rodman began her philanthropic efforts at a young age, and
has for many years been a vital supporter of Easter Seals disability
services. She was instrumental in establishing the first Easter Seals
telethon, which was held at the Sahara Hotel, and in the opening
of the Las Vegas Easter Seals Treatment Center. Rodman became
an early advocate of Opportunity Village in the 1950s and
continues her support today.

Her generous gift to UNLV, where a residence hall is named
in her honor, helped establish the school’s accredited physical
therapy program and she continues to serve on the UNLV
Foundation Board of Trustees Executive Committee. Rodman
has won countless awards for her meritorious service in the
Las Vegas area and beyond.
